Alaya F believes Suhana Khan ‘absolutely deserved’ to be a Maybelline brand ambassador: ‘Lineage is not something that should be treated lightly.’
Suhana Khan, who was criticized after being announced as Maybelline’s brand ambassador, has received support from Alaya F.
Many questioned Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan‘s being appointed as a brand ambassador for the beauty company Maybelline. Some also trolled her on social media, claiming that she only got the deal because her father is a celebrity, and some even queried what she accomplished in her career to earn it. However, Alaya F feels Suhana ‘absolutely deserves’ to be the brand’s face.
Alaya stated in a new interview that the brand must have made the decision knowing exactly what they were doing. Suhana was chosen because she and her heritage contributed something significant to the table.
In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Alaya stated, “People often forget that, at the end of the day, whether it’s brands or films, it’s a business, and decisions are made carefully. Lineage is not something to be dismissed or taken lightly. It takes a lot of time and work to develop a lineage. You only have to live up to it. As a result, it occurs to everyone. Especially if you come from an influential family, I believe you simply have to try your best to take advantage of all the fantastic possibilities that come your way.”
She added, “Nobody does anything just like that. She certainly added thought and value to the project by participating in it. Therefore, it was well earned in every manner. You can’t hold someone responsible for the opportunities they are given; all you can do is hope they take full advantage of them.”
Suhana’s first project is an Indian adaptation of the classic comics The Archies, which will be released later this year on OTT giant Netflix. The Archies is a coming-of-age story produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India which will expose the Riverdale adolescent cast to a new viewership in India. Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor will also make her acting debut in the film.
Alaya most recently appeared in Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, directed by Anurag Kashyap. Her next project is the horror movie U-Turn.
