Update! Vidya Balan-starrer Sherni’s shoot resumes in Madhya Pradesh

The halted shooting of Vidya Balan’s upcoming movie Sherni has finally resumed. The shooting was scheduled in March but, due to the imposed lockdowns caused by the pandemic, the shooting was postponed. The movie is being directed by Amit Masurkar. Vidya Balan is in Madhya Pradesh currently, where the shooting is being gone on. Before the beginning of the movie’s shoot, Vidya Balan has also performed puja on the sets.

The makers of the movie have recruited an agency to keep an eye on the safety factors. The shooting of the movie in beautiful Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh is scheduled for 35 days.

To ensure that the crew is following all the necessary safety guidelines, a squad of five to six members has been recruited. The agency will analyze the set and lay down mandatory guidelines required in addition to government-laid ones, to ensure full-proof safety. The members are health and safety professionals which have previously monitored several shoots over the past. Adhering to the advice of experts, the crew has set up isolation centers for asymptotic individuals.

The primary location of the shoot, the Balaghat Jungle is just an hour’s drive away from the stay of the crew, a 5-star hotel in Gondia. The approach of the shoot is to carry out things in a secure-bio bubble. To ensure that the team doesn’t contract the virus, the Amit Masurkar-led team has booked the 5-star hotels completely for themselves and have blocked the entry for common people.

The movie will depict the conflicts between jungle animals and men. Vidya Balan will be seen as a forest officer in the movie.
