Laxmmi Bomb gets a release date; Akshay Kumar film to get a Diwali release on the streaming platform
Akshay Kumar has confirmed the release date of his much-awaited film Laxmmi Bomb. The movie has garnered enough attention right off the bat as Akshay would be taking on the role of Transgender in this film. The actor released a trailer and announced that the film would arrive on Disney+ Hotstar around the Diwali season this year.
The official date for the release of the movie is announced to be November 9.
The trailer opened up quite dramatically as it displayed the caption, ‘When the outcast becomes outraged’ as Kumar is shown to have a mustache at first and later transforms into a transgender.
In the background, a voice echoes, “Aaj se tera naam Laxman nahi, Laxmmi hoga (Now on, your name will not be Laxman, but you will be known as Laxmmi).
To make things far dramatic, Akshay’s head is shown with a bleeding wound as he transforms into the transgender avatar.

To give you some context, the movie is actually a horror-comedy remake of the Tamil blockbuster Muni 2: Kanchana. The movie was originally helmed by Raghava Lawrence. He will be making his Hindi directorial debut with Laxmmi Bomb. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the movie will also feature Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, Ashwini Kalsekar, and several others
