Siddharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandana to star in Ronnie Screwvala’s next ‘Misson Majnu’

The growing stature of the international film production company Disney within the country has started to bring together the filmmakers who were in this journey before this company came into it’s present form. Ronnie Screwvala, founder of UTV, now owned by Disney, has announced it’s sixth consecutive film on Wednesday. Ronnie has titled this film as ‘Mission Majnu’. For this project, Ronnie has teamed up with his former colleague and screenwriter Amar Butala.

The film ‘Mission Majnu’ will feature Siddharth Malhotra and actress Rashmika Mandana in the lead roles. It is worth noting that in the beginning of last year, producer Ronnie Screwvala, who changed the entire agenda of Hindi cinema stories from films like ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, has announced his all films in the year 2020. His latest offering will be in association with his former colleagues Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. This story is also based on India’s most ambitious RAW operation on Pakistani soil. The film is inspired by some real events of the 1970s and tells the story of India’s boldest mission in Pakistan.

In the film ‘Mission Majnu’, Siddharth Malhotra will be seen as a Raw Agent. Shantanu Bagchi is going to start her career in direction with this film. Producer Ronnie Screwvala said that there are many Heroes who have worked behind the scenes to protect our country from terrorists. Their work has often remained undiscovered and under the shadows. He further added that through the film ‘Mission Majnu’, we can appreciate their sacrifices and we are making an effort to bring their stories to the fore. Significantly, Rashmika Mandana will make her debut in Bollywood with this action flick. Filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala, who had sold his entire cinema business to the Walt Disney Company eight years ago, is firmly involved in setting up his new production company RSVP. Five of Ronnie’s films are already in various stages of production. The names of these films are ‘Sitara’, ‘Rashmi Rocket’, ‘Sam Manekshaw’, ‘Tejas’ and ‘Pippa’
