NCB summons Karan Johar over 2019’s controversial clip of alleged ‘drug-party’
Ever since the shocking death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the connection between Bollywood and drugs has been unraveling. Several Bollywood celebrities have been summoned by the NCB in order to investigate the supposedly underlying nexus. Surprisingly, many big names of the Bollywood industry has too surfaced over the course. Now, the name of famous filmmaker/director Karan Johar has also been added to the list. It is reported that Karan Johar has been summoned by the NCB for questioning.
Since the tragedy of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, NCB has been continuously making new revelations and unearthing crucial links of Bollywood with drugs’ industry. On Thursday, NCB summoned producer/director Karan Johar regarding the drug case and called him for further questioning. According to the sources, NCB wants to know important information about Karan Johar’s network which may potentially be linked with drugs’ nexus in the Bollywood.
Today, Karan Johar replied to the Narcotics Control Bureau that there wasn’t any use of drugs in the alleged ‘drug party’.
Right from the start of this case, Karan Johar’s name was attached to it in some or the other way. The reason for this was a video of a party held at Karan Johar’s house in 2019. The video was shared by Karan Johar himself on the social media. However, he later removed the video from Instagram when people started questioning the weird behavior of celebrities in that clip. Many Bollywood stars like Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Ayan Mukherjee were part of that controversial party video.
On Wednesday, the NCB had also sent a fresh summon notice to Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal regarding the drug angle. Apart from this, NCB has also made long questionings with Arjun’s live-in partner Gabriella Demetriades. In fact, Grabriella’s brother Agisilaos was arrested in a drug related case on October 19, after which Arjun Rampal was also summoned for questioning. Significantly, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and his brother were also arrested in this case earlier. After which some big names like Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan were also called for questioning. At the same time, the names of famous comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya were also involved in this case. Both were also arrested. Currently, both Bharti and his husband are out on bail.
