Anupama 19th December 2023 Written Update: Anupama breaks her marriage with Anuj

The episode begins with Anuj expressing his belief that Anupama doesn’t care about him or Choti. He apologizes but insists that she is more concerned about the Shahs than the Kapadias. Anuj acknowledges that Anupama had a 26-year relationship with the Shahs, so it’s natural for her to feel attached to them. Anupama tries to intervene, but Anuj states that he has been patient for a long time, but now he has had enough. He apologizes, knowing that Anupama didn’t want to become Choti’s mother, but he made her do it. He goes on to say that he loves Anupama so much that he made her the signing authority the day after their wedding.

Anuj admits to Anupama that he thinks he made a mistake by marrying her in haste and should have given her more time. He addresses her as Anupama instead of Anu. Anupama asks Anuj if he regrets marrying her. He clarifies that he didn’t say that and that she never understood him. Anuj questions why she is not only his. Anupama asks why he kept so much in his heart without telling her. She acknowledges that the burden is heavy and that she didn’t want to remarry, but he accepted her with three children.

Anupama tries to explain her side of the accusations. She states that she received a lot of love from him, unlike anything she had experienced before. She emphasizes that becoming Choti’s mother was her choice and not something he forced her into. Anupama informs Anuj that he has shared everything he had in his heart, but now it’s her turn to speak. She tells Anuj that he feels suffocated in their relationship but is merely prolonging it. Anupama reveals that she broke her relationship with the Shahs today, but she didn’t anticipate having to break her relationship with him as well.

Anuj is shocked and insists that he didn’t say that, claiming that Anupama is once again failing to understand him. Anupama declares that she has heard what he didn’t say and has made her decision. She states that she will leave, confident that he won’t stop her this time. Anupama tells Anuj that she loves him deeply and that he is such a good person that anyone would love him. She picks up their photo and tears her image from it. Anupama informs Anuj that she is setting him free from her and her baggage without any ill feelings.

Anupama advises him to live freely and take care of Choti but to avoid harboring bitterness towards her. She expresses gratitude for the love he has given her and for entering her life. She assures him that he will always be in her wishes and prayers. Anupama nearly stumbles as she accidentally opens one of her sandals. She looks at Anuj with pain in her eyes and leaves the house. The episode concludes with a heartbroken Anupama leaving behind a disappointed Anuj.

In the next episode, Devika will visit Anupama and provide her with a visa and work permit for America. Anupama will mention that she has left her relationship behind, but memories always remain. Anupama will board a flight to America.
