Kiran Rao’s Comedy “Laapataa Ladies” Unveils Hilarious Trailer

The upcoming comedy film “Laapataa Ladies,” produced by Aamir Khan’s production company, presents a quirky and unexpected tale through its recently released trailer. Directed by Kiran Rao, the movie boasts an ensemble cast and narrates the amusing events that unfold when two brides are accidentally switched on a train journey.

The trailer kicks off with a humorous scenario where a man introduces his wife to his family, only to realize that he has brought home the wrong bride. Simultaneously, another man files a missing person report for his wife, leading to interactions with a peculiar police officer portrayed by Ravi Kishan.

Starring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles, “Laapataa Ladies” explores the comic consequences of mistaken identities and unexpected switches. The film, previously showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), has received positive reviews.  The film’s trailer will be included with the theatrical prints of Siddharth Anand’s aerial action movie “Fighter,” featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor.

Presented by Jio Studios and co-produced by Jio Studios’ Jyoti Deshpande, “Laapataa Ladies” is a collaborative effort between Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. The screenplay, based on an award-winning narrative by Biplab Goswami, is written by Sneha Desai, with additional dialogues penned by Divyanidhi Sharma. The film is scheduled for release on March 1.
