Shraddha Kapoor set to be a ‘Naagin’ in Vishal Furia’s next
Shraddha Kapoor has announced thrilling news for her die-hard fans! The Ek-Villian actress will be seen flaunting her beautiful, quintessential persona with a mythical twist of being a character-changing ‘naagin’. Shraddha will be casted in this legendary naagin role, in a trilogy series produced by Nikhil Dwivedi — the Scam 1992 star.
Shraddha took Twitter to express this exciting news, where the actress wrote that she is absolutely delighted to play the ‘Naagin’ character. She stated that she always wanted to play this symbolic role which has been played by legendary Sridevi in Nagina and Nigahen. She also mentioned idolizing and growing up watching Sridevi.
It will be very interesting to see how Shraddha manages to pull off this challenging role. The movie-makers are exploring VFX and other special effects to make the movie look as real as possible. Shraddha has already played a role possessing supernatural powers in 2018’s hit comedy-thriller Stree — starring Shradhha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The trilogy will be directed by Vishal Furia. Vishal is best known for his direction in the 2017-Marathi Thriller Lapachhapi. Vishal is also directing Lapachhapi’s Hindi version titled Chhori, currently.
Evidently, this ‘naagin’ character is very popular among the Indian viewers as Ekta Kapoor’s TV daily-soap Naagin has garnered a huge number of fans over the years.
However, there is uncertainty over when and how the shooting of this trilogy will begin as Shakti Kapoor mentioned in an interview that he will not allow Shraddha to work as of now due to safety concerns.
