Anupama 17th December 2023 Written Update: Shahs blame Anupama for the accident

The episode begins with Dimpi taking care of Kinjal’s injuries. Vanraj becomes furious with Anupama and scolds her for constantly causing trouble for his family. He even calls her “panauti,” a term that implies bad luck. Toshu also accuses Anupama of being selfish and questions why she brought Kinjal and Pari with her. Leela joins in and blames Anupama as well. Vanraj claims that Anupama has always been the cause of problems in their lives. However, Kinjal defends Anupama, stating that she saved their lives and was the one who planned the picnic, not Anupama. Vanraj decides that from now on, Anupama Kapadia should sever all ties with his family. He forbids her from maintaining any contact with the Shahs. Vanraj declares that anyone who wants to have a relationship with Anupama can leave the Shah house.

Dimpi expresses her support for Anupama, but Vanraj tells her to go with Anupama only after giving them the child. She questions how any law would allow separating a mother from her child and giving the child to a toxic family. However, Vanraj threatens her, forcing her to choose between her child and Anupama. Ultimately, she ends up leaving Anupama’s side as well. Anupama reminisces about how she took care of Vanraj, Toshu, and the other family members. She shares that her heart has been broken multiple times, and she is always blamed for anything that goes wrong in the house.

Anupama gives examples from daily life where she is blamed for even the smallest things, from a broken glass to Toshu and Pakhi’s spoiled behavior. She mentions that even when Leela has joint pains, despite massaging her for two hours, she is still blamed. Anuj and Choti Anu observe silently. Anupama declares that enough is enough. She states that she has done everything wholeheartedly for them, including Anuj’s contributions. Tearfully, she expresses that she has done enough, and now it’s time to step back.

Anupama announces that she is turning away from all of them. She clarifies that love and relationships will remain, but she will no longer come to the Shah house. She breaks her bond with the Shah house and leaves. Kinjal silently apologizes to Anupama. Anuj picks up Choti in his lap and follows Anupama outside. As Anupama is leaving, Hansmukh stops her and applies vermillion to her forehead. She seeks his blessings and departs. Kinjal and Dimpi feel upset, but Vanraj smirks happily.

Anupama exits and closes the gate of the Shah house. Anuj and Choti Anu wait for her in the car. They return home, and Malti Devi embraces Choti while Romil asks about Anupama. Barkha reveals that Ankush showed her the photos of the cliff, and she was genuinely shocked. Malti Devi blames Anupama for taking Kinjal and Pari. Romil and Ankush suggest that they should be grateful that nothing went wrong. When Anupama tries to talk to Choti Anu, she ignores her and goes to Anuj. Choti tells Anuj not to let Anupama touch her as she comes last in her life. The episode concludes with Choti sharing with Anuj how Anupama saved her in the end and embracing him.

Precap: In the upcoming episode, Anupama will tell Choti Anu that she is not her biological mother, while Pari is her own granddaughter. Malti Devi will also point out how Anupama always prioritizes the Shahs. Anuj will intervene and ask them to stop arguing. When Anupama asks if he feels the same way, he will agree.
