Sonakshi Sinha turns 34: The actress who once weighed 95 kgs is an inspiration to everyone

Bollywood’s Rajjo i.e. Sonakshi Sinha is known for her elegant and glamourous personality. Besides these qualities, she has an amazing mix of beauty and talent which is quite rare nowadays. She started her career by starring alongside Salman Khan in 2010’s Dabangg. Being a graduate in fashion designing, Sonakshi wanted to become a fashion designer, but destiny had some other plans for the actress.

Sonakshi Sinha, who entered the industry with a traditional looking role, has now enlisted herself in the list of Bollywood’s most glamorous actresses. Unknown to many, Sonakshi was quite overweight before entering Bollywood. But, today the actress is counted among one of the fittest divas in the industry.

Sonakshi transformed herself significantly and made herself exceptionally fit and slim. Reportedly, Salman Khan also advised Sonakshi to lose weight before launching her in his film. After her hit debut, Sonakshi won the Filmfare Award in the Best Female Debut category for Dabangg. After that, Sonakshi went on to work in sequels, ‘Dabangg-2’ and ‘Dabangg-3’. Prior to her Bollywood entry, she worked as a costume designer in the 2006 film Mera Dil Leke Dekho.

Notably, Sonakshi’s weight was around 95 kg before appearing in Bollywood. Sonakshi had to face numerous difficulties due to her increased weight. Sonakshi once mentioned in an interview that when she was in college, boys always used to make fun of her by teasing and labelling her with different names. She revealed that due to her weight, she never got a chance at school events.

Along with her acting, Sonakshi Sinha also makes headlines with her affair rumours. Sonakshi’s name was linked with Bunty Sachdeva in the year 2012. Bunty Sachdeva is the brother of Salman’s sister-in-law Seema Khan. Apart from this, the actress’ name has also been associated with Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Sonakshi’s several films like ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Son of Sardar’, ‘Lootera’, ‘Boss’, ‘Holiday’, ‘Tevar’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Khandani Shafakhana’ and ‘R.. Rajkumar’ have been super-hit and her work in these films has been critically acclaimed.
