Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18th December 2023 Written Update: Abhira missed her mom

The episode begins with Ruhi noticing that Nana is lost in his thoughts. She asks him what’s wrong, and Rohith says he wants to hug him. Ruhi tells him that she won’t share her Nana with anyone. Abhira notices Nana feeding sweets to Ruhi and feels emotional seeing their love. She decides not to disturb them and starts to leave. However, as she walks away, flower petals fall on her in the breeze, catching Nana’s attention. Everyone is surprised to see Abhira there.

Rohith asks Abhira how she ended up there, and she explains that she was just wandering around and lost her way back home. She is about to leave again, but Nana asks Swarna to perform an arathi for her, considering her return as a blessing. Abhira enters Ruhi’s house, and Armaan, who has been searching for her, overhears wedding planners talking about a girl and assumes it is Abhira. He wonders how she could enter someone else’s house without permission.

Nana assures Abhira that she is not alone and that her pain will always be the same, no matter where she goes. He tells her that this is her house, and she can come here whenever she wants. He reveals that he had arranged two shagun (auspicious) ceremonies, hoping that someone would come. Abhira has fulfilled his wish. Swarna tells Ruhi that Armaan is betraying her as he saw Abhira at the resort and loves her too.

Ruhi defends Armaan, explaining that their marriage is just a contract and that he promised Akshara to protect Abhira. Armaan arrives and holds Abhira, expressing his worry about her sudden disappearance. He mentions that he was searching for her and that he was devastated at the thought of something happening to her. Ruhi and Rohith reveal their presence, and Armaan explains that he accidentally ended up there while searching for Abhira.

Nana tells Armaan that what he and Abhira have is love, as she didn’t even have her phone with her, yet he managed to find her. Rohith remarks that they are talking about the same thing, proving it’s love. Ruhi, feeling jealous, clenches her fist. Nana asks Armaan and Abhira to complete the ritual, while Manisha worries about what will happen if Abhira doesn’t return home and she ends up in jail. Vidhya reassures her that nothing like that will happen.

Meanwhile, Madhav informs Kaveri that he has spoken to his junior, who will find the girl they are looking for. Kaveri demands answers from Manisha, who reveals that Abhira ran away from home. Kaveri glares at her. On the other hand, Nana shows Akshara’s room to Abhira and tells her to call him if she needs anything. Abhira picks up her mother’s guitar and starts playing it, imagining her mom singing. Nana also feels her presence and shares his grief with her.

Swarna tries to make Ruhi understand that Armaan loves Abhira, as he found her even without her phone. She reminds Ruhi that Abhira is now Armaan’s wife, and Rohith is her husband. However, Ruhi feels that Abhira has taken Armaan away from her and worries that Nana might also be taken away. Swarna assures her that Nana loves Ruhi a lot and won’t do anything like that. She advises Ruhi not to snatch everything from Abhira. Later, Kaveri confronts Armaan and Rohith, expressing her disapproval of the special connection between Nana and Abhira. She warns Armaan sternly. Meanwhile, Abhira checks Akshara’s clothes.

The episode ends with Abhira refusing to go back home.
