Ajay Devgn Unveils New Poster for “Maidaan,” Set to Release on Eid 2024

On Tuesday, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn shared an exciting update with fans, unveiling a new poster for his much-anticipated sports drama, “Maidaan.” Taking to Instagram, Ajay posted the poster along with the message, “The much-awaited game is about to flag off worldwide. Mark your calendars as #Maidaan takes over fields this Eid, April 2024, promising an inspiring tale that will leave you cheering & celebrating with pride.”

“Maidaan,” directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zed Studios, is a sports drama that delves into the golden years of Indian football. Ajay Devgn portrays the role of Syed Abdul Rahim, the revered coach known as the founding father of Indian football. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.

The new poster features Ajay Devgn in formal attire, holding a football, setting the stage for the much-anticipated release. Interestingly, “Maidaan” is slated to compete with “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” an action thriller starring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, making the Eid 2024 clash an exciting showdown in Bollywood.

Last year, the makers released a teaser for “Maidaan,” which garnered significant attention for its dynamic portrayal of football in the rain and Ajay’s powerful speech emphasizing unity on the field.

Due to pandemic-related lockdowns in 2020 and the impact of Cyclone Tauktae in May 2021, the film’s production faced setbacks. Despite these challenges, “Maidaan” is all set to hit theaters this Eid, delivering an inspiring story of determination and football legacy.

Meanwhile, fans can anticipate the official teaser release for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” tomorrow, featuring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The clash between these two highly anticipated films is sure to make Eid 2024 an exciting time for Bollywood enthusiasts.
