As the editor for Bhansali’s masterpiece, Hirani saw an opportunity and pitched the script or Munna Bhai M.B.B.S to Shah Rukh Khan.
Recalling the moment, Shah Rukh shared that upon hearing the title Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, he was so captivated that he instantly committed to the film without even reading the script. Rajkumar Hirani, surprised by this response, questioned if Shah Rukh had any knowledge of the storyline. In response, Shah Rukh humorously affirmed that the title alone was enough to convince him.
Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani collaborated on Munna Bhai M.B.B.S for an extensive period, investing five to six months in the project. However, fate took an unexpected turn when Shah Rukh suffered a spinal injury during that time, casting uncertainty on his recovery timeline.
