The pandemic has put on hold a lot of Bollywood projects as the entire country has gone on lockdown. The deadly virus is out there and not even celebs are immune from the clutches of it.
Actor Vidya Balan, who has time and again given us classic masterpieces, did not fail to impress audiences through streaming channels as well with her performance in Shakuntala Devi – a biopic of the smartest Mathematician from India.
People have suddenly been reminded of her acting prowess and are now awaiting her next project – Sherni with bated breaths.
Sherni’s shoot was brought to a standstill due to the Lockdown implemented mid-March. However, with the unlock strategy being implemented now, almost five months later, director Amit Masurkar is finally aiming to resume the shoot.
According to a report by MidDay, the shooting for Sherni will go back on the floors by the first week of October 2020.
The producer of the movie Vikram Malhotra revealed the location of the shoot in an interview with MidDay. He said, “The next location is Balaghat; we will be filming in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. The safety of the cast and crew is key, which is why we have waited for so many months to resume work. The number of cases is reducing, but the nature of the menace is such that we need to have our guards up.”
Vikram also said that a good 65% of the film is yet to be shot and the makers have acquired all necessary permission from the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The audiences eagerly wait for Balan to keep them on the edge of their seats with Sherni.
