Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 14th December 2023 Written Update: Abhira argues with Armaan

The episode begins with Manisha telling Kaveri that what they just saw was just a trailer. She believes that the elder daughter-in-law won’t come down. Ruhi remembers Rohith’s request. Abhira and Armaan are arguing with each other when Ruhi arrives. She tells Abhira that everyone is waiting for them. Armaan claims that Abhira doesn’t care about anything and suggests they let everyone wait. Ruhi sends Armaan away and urges Abhira to attend the function. She reminds her that Armaan promised her mother to take care of her. The least she can do is attend this function. Everyone notices when Armaan arrives. A guest comments on how the elder daughter-in-law hasn’t come down and made the younger daughter-in-law wait. They think she is very rude. Manisha cracks a joke to divert their attention. Rohith asks everyone to start dancing and they all join in.

Abhira assures Ruhi that she will attend the function. Ruhi offers to help her wear a saree, but Abhira insists that she doesn’t need any help. She is an expert at wearing sarees. Ruhi waits for her outside while Abhira struggles with the saree. Abhira thinks to herself that she doesn’t know how to wear a saree, but she encourages herself that she can do it. She watched a YouTube tutorial to learn how to wear it. She realizes she doesn’t have an underskirt to wear with the saree, so she uses her jeans instead. Armaan decides to apologize to Kaveri and asks Rohith to bring Ruhi down. He doesn’t want this function to be stopped because of Abhira. Meanwhile, Rohith tells Armaan that Abhira and Ruhi are coming down together and seem like best sisters. No one can break their relationship. Abhira struggles to walk in the saree and slips, but Armaan catches her just in time. They share an eye lock while Ruhi feels jealous. Everyone praises them as a beautiful couple.

One of the guests compliments Abhira as a lovely daughter-in-law. Kaveri says that Ruhi is her lovely daughter-in-law because she has won everyone’s heart within two days. Vidya unveils their faces to everyone, and Abhira looks at the guest. Armaan signals her to greet the guest, and she presents Shagun to them. They praise Ruhi’s beauty and compare her to Abhira. Abhira thinks to herself that Ruhi is the daughter-in-law of the house, while she is just a guest. She doesn’t care about it, but they shouldn’t say it in front of everyone. The relatives inquire about Abhira’s family, and Sanjay mentions that her mom is a small lawyer in court. Abhira gets angry and is about to argue, but Armaan takes her away. He apologizes on behalf of everyone for calling her ugly. Abhira tells him that he shouldn’t apologize for them because she is just a guest in the house.

Vidya asks them to start the rituals, and Kaveri announces that it’s the ring-finding ceremony. Ruhi finds the ring, and everyone teases Rohith. Abhira gives the ring to Armaan and says that she doesn’t want to win. They are teased for holding hands, and it is revealed that both of them were holding the ring. They are called the perfect couple. Vidya announces the next competition, which is a traditional dress-wearing competition. Abhira completes it quickly because she has experience. It is revealed that she has broken Kaveri’s record and is declared the winner.

The episode ends with Kaveri insulting Abhira.
