Malaika Arora tested positive for Covid-19 after Arjun Kapoor
In the last couple of months, Bollywood seems to have faced its darkest time. promising and veteran actors passing away, accusations of industry being vilely nepotistic, lockdown not allowing movies to release in theatres, and now the onslaught of the virus affecting actors – this might just be a low for Bollywood that it will take some years to reel out of.
In a long line of celebs who have been affected by the virus, which includes the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, there seem to be more adding to the list.
After Arjun Kapoor announced on social media about him testing positive for Covid-19, it turns out that even Malaika Arora has tested positive as well.
The breaking news was further confirmed by her younger sister, Amrita Arora.
Malaika Arora, on an Instagram post, said, “Today I have tested positive for coronavirus but I want to inform you all that I am feeling fine. I am asymptomatic and following all the required protocols and will be quarantined at home as instructed by my doctor and authorities. I request all of you to stay calm and safe. Thank you for all your support. Much love, Malaika Arora.”
Post a couple of months of lockdown, India is slowly opening up its economy and therefore, Malaika got back to work in July. She frequently shared updates from her TV reality show India’s Best Dancer, where she features as one of the key judges alongside choreographers Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. As Malaika mentioned in her post, she is currently under quarantine and is being monitored by her doctor closely to notice if any symptoms develop.
