“Sam Bahadur” Achieves Milestone with ₹100 Crore Global Box Office Collection

Meghna Gulzar’s biographical epic “Sam Bahadur,” providing a compelling portrayal of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, has achieved a significant milestone at the global box office. With Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, the film has triumphantly crossed the coveted ₹100 crore mark worldwide.

Although “Sam Bahadur” has secured its place in the 100-crore global grossers’ club, it finds itself trailing behind another film released on the same day, “Animal.” Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, “Animal” has amassed an impressive ₹835.9 crore worldwide in the same time frame, establishing its dominance at the box office.

The latest data from Sacnilk reveals that “Sam Bahadur” has amassed ₹76 crore within the Indian market in just 17 days since its release. Vicky Kaushal, essaying the iconic role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. Sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the film’s makeup room, he reflected on the unique responsibility of embodying a legendary figure.

In his heartfelt caption, Vicky Kaushal revealed, “Makeup on, listen to his favourite jazz music and stare into that mirror till I start believing the guy in the mirror is Sam. The film provides a deep dive into the remarkable military career of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, spanning four decades and five wars. As the first Indian Army general promoted to the rank of Field Marshal, he played a pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, ultimately leading to the formation of Bangladesh.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, “Sam Bahadur” features stellar performances not only from Vicky Kaushal but also from Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles.
