Jhanak 20th December 2023 Written Update: Tejas comes to know the truth of Jhanak

In this episode, Jhanak and Anirudh have a secret conversation. Anirudh gives Jhanak a cloth secretly, which makes her feel insulted. She believes that Anirudh is disrespecting her. However, Anirudh explains that he chose the clothes specifically for her and encourages her to accept them. Jhanak suggests that he should do nice things for Arshi instead. Anirudh clarifies that he has no ill intentions towards Jhanak. Eventually, Jhanak realizes her mistake and apologizes to him, but she still doesn’t want to accept the gift.

Anirudh insists that Jhanak take the gift, emphasizing that he chose it for her. However, Jhanak is hesitant because she is worried about how others might perceive their interaction. Anirudh is surprised by Jhanak’s attitude towards him compared to her behavior with others. Jhanak is unable to understand why Anirudh is being so kind to her. Eventually, she feels compelled to accept the gift, even though she doesn’t understand why she can’t reject it.

Meanwhile, Tejas arrives in Jhanak’s village and threatens the villagers for helping Jhanak escape. However, the villagers refuse to confess the truth as it could put Jhanak in danger. Tejas is aware that the villagers know where Jhanak is hiding. When he fails to find any clues, one villager agrees to meet him and reveals that Jhanak eloped with her fiance. Tejas asks the man to come to his house.

In Anirudh’s house, everyone is preparing for the Laxmi puja and wearing new clothes. Arshi also arrives, and Anirudh is captivated by her beauty. Apu gets worried because Jhanak hasn’t worn the new clothes yet. Rimi sings a prayer to God, and Apu insists that Jhanak sit beside her. Badoma reads the Lazmi Panchali.

While the family warmly welcomes Arshi and Vinayak, they treat Jhanak poorly. Bipasha is confused as to why Jhanak is behaving so strangely during the rituals. The elders also ask Jhanak to wear the new clothes, and Anirudh supports this request. Apu goes to Jhanak’s room and brings out a red saree, which happens to be Jhanak’s wedding saree. This embarrasses Jhanak in front of everyone.

In the next episode, Aeshi will question Jhanak about where she got the saree and the sindur. Jhanak will confidently claim that they belong to her, but Shristi will insult her by mentioning her mother.
