Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th December 2023 Written Update: Abhira goes missing

The latest episode begins with Chachi calling Ruhi to check on her. Swarna advises Chachi not to disturb Ruhi as she is newly married. Swarna then asks Ruhi if she has seen Armaan with Abhira. Ruhi abruptly ends the call. Rohith asks Abhira about her studies, and she reveals that she is studying Law, which surprises them. They comment that another lawyer has joined the family. Armaan tells Ruhi that Abhira saved him from falling.

Ruhi tells him that he doesn’t need to explain it to her as she knows he is helping Abhira become independent. She encourages him to continue doing so. Rohith takes Ruhi away from the conversation. Meanwhile, Ruhi’s father is thinking about Abhira and expresses his desire to send a gift to Armaan and Abhira. Swarna advises against it, stating that their marriage wasn’t preferred by anyone, and sending a gift might cause unnecessary worry in their household.

Armaan and Abhira struggle to sleep. Armaan tries to sleep on the sofa but fails. Abhira notices this and suggests that he sleep in the bed. She proposes they share the bed as friends, even though he worries that she might feel uncomfortable. However, she insists, stating that he has already been adjusting everything for her, and they can share the bed like roommates.

Later, Armaan brings food to the room for Abhira but doesn’t find her there. He calls her, but she doesn’t answer. Manisha asks Aaryan what’s wrong with him, and he reveals that he has a fever. Rohith also starts coughing, and they suspect it’s due to eating something cold. Aaryan admits that he had a secret ice cream party to cheer up Abhira. Kaveri worries that Abhira brings diseases into the house, but Vidya assures her that she will give them medicine.

Meanwhile, Rohith and Ruhi have to visit Ruhi’s maternal house for a ritual. Manisha asks about Abhira, and Kaveri remarks that she doesn’t have a maternal house. Armaan, meanwhile, checks for Abhira in the hall but finds her missing. Rohith is about to go after him, but Kaveri advises him to complete the rituals. Armaan fears that Abhira has left the house. In reality, Abhira is walking on the road lost in her thoughts, recalling Kaveri’s words about her being a bad omen. She feels emotional as she remembers Akshara’s name.

Suddenly, Abhira notices a woman calling her child and wonders why her mom decided to send her to Udaipur instead of Delhi. She becomes emotional. Meanwhile, Manisha insists that Abhira needs to complete her rituals, while Madhav argues that they only performed the Muh dhikai function to maintain the family’s reputation. Kaveri and Sanjay leave the room, and Kajal tells Vidya that Kaveri is angry but didn’t stop Abhira from performing the ritual. Manisha questions how they can arrange a maternal house for Abhira, and Kajal suggests that she can go to her own maternal house. Vidya agrees and asks Charu to bring Armaan and Abhira, only to find out that they are not at home.

Manisha worries that they have eloped again and suggests informing Kaveri. However, Vidya points out that Kaveri is already angry with Abhira, and this would only make her angrier. Armaan discovers that Abhira has left the house. Meanwhile, Swarna prepares everything to welcome Ruhi and Rohith, including their favorite sweets. Abhira accidentally collides with a wedding planner, causing things to drop. He demands money from her, but she refuses, stating that she doesn’t have a mobile phone and has forgotten the address. She quickly runs away.

Ruhi’s father warmly welcomes Ruhi and Rohith. Ruhi expresses how much she missed him. Meanwhile, Armaan continues to search for Abhira and realizes he doesn’t have her photo. By mistake, Abhira ends up at Ruhi’s house.
