Jhanak 17th December 2023 Written Update: Anirudh reveals his plans for Jhanak to his mother

The episode begins with Jhanak struggling to eat her food using chopsticks. Accidentally, the food falls on Anirudh. Anirudh suggests that Jhanak can eat with her hands if she finds it difficult to use chopsticks. Jhanak apologizes for the mishap, expressing her lack of familiarity with chopsticks. Anirudh’s family makes comments about Jhanak and Chutton, as Anirudh had recommended bringing Jhanak to the restaurant. Feeling humiliated by the laughter around them, Anirudh’s family decides to leave.

Chutton and Appu console Jhanak, reassuring her not to worry about the incident. Chutton informs the waiter that they will settle the bill and they all leave.

Anirudh’s servant informs him that the stain on his shirt is not coming off. Anirudh tells his servant to set the shirt aside.

Anirudh’s sisters approach him, expressing their desire to go shopping for the upcoming Pooja. Anirudh playfully remarks on their fondness for shopping but eventually agrees to accompany them. Appu asks Anirudh what they are doing, and Anirudh’s sisters inform her about their shopping plans. Appu suggests Anirudh also buy clothes for Jhanak. Jhanak then approaches Appu and reminds her that her food is ready.

Srishti talks to Bhai Saab on the phone, who inquires about Jhanak’s presence there. Bhai Saab expresses concern that Tejas will be furious if he finds out Jhanak is there, potentially causing trouble. Bhai Saab decides to inform Tejas himself and asks Srishti to bring Jhanak to her house, ensuring she stays away from Anirudh and Arishi’s wedding as much as possible. Srishti agrees to the plan.

Appu urges Anirudh to buy clothes for Jhanak. Anirudh’s mother approaches them and questions Jhanak’s presence. Jhanak explains that she came to fetch Appu as her food is ready. Anirudh’s mother insists that Appu leave, but Appu refuses to comply. Visakha tries to persuade Appu to leave, but Jhanak convinces her to come along and they both leave.

Anirudh’s mother asks him if he has booked their honeymoon tickets. Anirudh confirms and reveals that they are going to Switzerland. He asks his family not to disclose this to Arishi. Anirudh’s sisters then leave.

Anirudh’s mother questions how long Jhanak will be staying, to which Anirudh replies that it will only be for a few days. She further asks him about his intentions with Jhanak. Anirudh expresses his desire to make Jhanak independent. Anirudh’s mother reminds him that Jhanak can only be a servant in their house. Anirudh suggests that they should pay Jhanak, enabling her to complete her studies and become independent. Anirudh’s mother comments on his decision and walks away.
