Kundali Bhagya 17th December 2023 Written Update: Shaurya and Shanaya’s roka happens

The episode begins with Rakhi stating that they will start the roka rituals once Rishabh, Mahesh, Rajveer, and Palki return. Shaurya informs Sandy that he will bring Rajveer’s aunt and leaves. Varun stops Shaurya and reminds him of his previous statement about not getting married because it ruins lives. Shaurya maintains his stance on marriage, shocking everyone. He expresses his gratitude for having Shanaya and walks away. Dadi believes that Shaurya has finally fallen in love, while Rakhi always knew this day would come. Daljeet tells Nidhi that Shaurya loves Shanaya deeply, and Nidhi takes Daljeet inside.

Gurpreet and Mohit take Preeta away from the Luthra house. Rishabh tells Mahesh that they will discuss the fuse issue after the roka. Mahesh speculates that the culprit caused the power outage to sabotage Shaurya and Shanaya’s roka. Gurpreet overhears this and suspects Nidhi of orchestrating the incident to prevent the Luthras from seeing Preeta.

Nidhi informs Daljeet that Shaurya doesn’t like Shanaya and advises her not to have high hopes. However, Daljeet remains confident that the roka will proceed as planned, and Shanaya will become their daughter-in-law. Preeta wakes up and questions Gurpreet about their destination. Gurpreet informs her that they are heading home, but Preeta insists on attending Shaurya’s roka before returning. She hails another auto and departs.

Meanwhile, Rajveer compliments Palki on her dancing skills, and she returns the compliment. They confess their mutual fondness and Rajveer asks if he can kiss her. Shaurya overhears their conversation and becomes furious. In an attempt to create a distraction, Shaurya purposely breaks a flower vase. He then brushes against Palki’s hand while leaving, leaving her startled. Palki takes Rajveer away, and Shaurya reflects on the brief contact he had with Palki’s hand. He starts searching for Preeta in the house.

Rakhi inquires about Shaurya’s whereabouts, while Shanaya wonders if he ran away. Shaurya finally appears downstairs, and the priest initiates the roka rituals. Nidhi moves towards Shaurya, but Rajveer, believing that an elder family member should perform the task, intervenes. Karan and Rishabh support Rajveer’s suggestion. Rakhi proceeds with the roka rituals, and the priest declares them complete. Preeta arrives at the scene, catching Rajveer’s attention.
