Shreyas Talpade Opens Up About Recent Heart Scare: ‘Clinically Dead’ for a Few Minutes

Renowned actor Shreyas Talpade recently revealed details about his recent health scare, emphasising the severity of his condition and urging people to prioritize their health. The actor, who suffered a heart attack earlier this month, shared that he was ‘clinically dead’ for a few minutes during the incident.

In an interview with The Times of India, Shreyas disclosed that he had been experiencing excessive fatigue after work for the past few months. Given his family’s history of heart disease, he had been taking medications and precautions. Recounting the events of December 14, Shreyas described feeling breathless and experiencing pain in his left hand. Initially attributing it to muscle pull due to filming action sequences, he eventually realised the severity of the situation.

The actor stated, “Suddenly, I felt breathless and my left hand started paining. I was hardly able to walk to my vanity car and change my clothing. I assumed it was a muscle pull because we were filming action sequences. You never consider the worst-case situation, do you? I had never felt this level of exhaustion.” Concerned for his well-being, Shreyas decided to head to the hospital, but his wife, Deepti, took swift action, and within minutes, they were on their way.

By the time they reached the hospital, Shreyas’ condition had worsened, leading to a cardiac arrest. He revealed that his face had gone numb by the time he entered the hospital, emphasising the seriousness of the situation. After regaining consciousness, Shreyas expressed gratitude to his wife and acknowledged the life-changing nature of the experience.

Reflecting on the experience, Shreyas shared that he was ‘clinically dead’ for a couple of minutes. After regaining consciousness, he apologised to his wife for the distress caused. The incident has profoundly changed his perspective on life, with Shreyas emphasising the importance of not taking one’s health for granted in these unpredictable times.

He urged people to prioritise their health, stating, “An experience like this changes your perspective on life. Do not take your health for granted. Because things are so unpredictable these days, you need to take your health very seriously. If that falls apart, nothing else matters. Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.”

Shreyas Talpade’s openness about his health scare serves as a reminder for everyone to prioritise their well-being and take necessary precautions, especially in the face of familial health histories.
