SRK’s Jawan Breaks Opening Day Records!: Collects ₹129.6 Crore Worldwide on Day 1!

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release, “Jawan,” has set the box office on fire, both domestically and internationally. Directed by Atlee, the film has now grossed a whopping 129.6 crores worldwide, breaking records along the way.

The film had an explosive start, achieving the biggest opening day in Hindi cinema history. Trade expert Taran Adarsh revealed “Jawan’s” box office performance in various international markets, with the movie making waves around the globe.

Red Chillies Entertainment, in a tweet, celebrated the film’s success, saying, “As Jawan says, ‘Yeh toh bas shuruaat hai’ (this is just the beginning). Thank you for the Massy-ive love.” They accompanied the message with a poster showcasing the film’s Day 1 collections, which reached ₹129.6 crores, marking it as “The biggest opening day in the history of Indian cinema.”

Trade expert Taran Adarsh also shared the film’s phenomenal performance in key international markets. “Jawan” debuted at the top spots in Australia and New Zealand, grossing Australian $398,030 (₹2.11 crore) and New Zealand $79,805 (₹39.13 lakh) respectively. In Germany, it secured the third spot with €146,014 (₹1.3 crore), while in the UK, it earned £208,061 (₹2.16 crore) by 9.20 am IST.

The enthusiasm for this action-packed entertainer reached unprecedented levels, with fans celebrating its release outside theatres, turning them into stadiums filled with wild cheering and dancing.

Jawan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles, had theatres buzzing from the early hours of its release. The film reportedly earned a net of 75 crores on its first day in India, with an estimated 65 crores in Hindi and 5 crores each in Tamil and Telugu.

Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan attended the Mumbai premiere of “Jawan,” and the couple returned to Chennai after the event. As they passed through the airport, a paparazzi member commented, “Jawan movie nahi festival hai (Jawan isn’t a movie, but a festival),” to which Nayanthara replied with a grateful smile.

Before the film’s release, Nayanthara and Vignesh sought blessings at the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Tirupati, accompanied by Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan’s fans gathered at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy theatre for the first show at 6 a.m., celebrating King Khan’s return to the big screen. Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude to them, saying, “Love you, boys and girls. I hope you enjoy the entertainment. Kept awake to see you go to the theatre. Big love and thanks.” The excitement for “Jawan” is palpable, and it’s clear that Shah Rukh Khan’s magic continues to captivate audiences worldwide. 

Jawan has indeed kickstarted a grand cinematic celebration, setting the stage for even greater milestones. The king has returned to the silver screen, and the audience’s response couldn’t be more resounding.
