Nushrratt Bharuccha Spills the Beans on Being Replaced by Ananya Panday

The anticipation is sky-high as the sequel “Dream Girl 2” gears up for its big screen debut on August 25th, starring the dynamic duo Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. The excitement surrounding the film skyrocketed with the release of its trailer, leaving fans craving more of the captivating comedy.

The first part of the movie featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrratt Bharuccha. In a recent interview, Nushrratt Bharuccha, the actress from “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety,” opened up about being replaced by Ananya Panday in “Dream Girl 2.

Nushrratt shared her thoughts about “Dream Girl” and how she cherished her experience working on the first part with the team. However, she candidly admitted her confusion regarding not being chosen for the sequel. The reasons behind this decision remain a mystery to her, and she believes only the producers of “Dream Girl 2” can provide clarity on the matter. While Nushrratt acknowledged feeling hurt and finding it unfair, she also recognized the industry’s dynamics and that casting decisions ultimately rest with the producers.

Despite the emotions tied to the situation, Nushrratt did not hesitate to express her appreciation for the “Dream Girl 2” trailer and her well-wishes for the film’s success. Interestingly, the release date of “Dream Girl 2” on August 25 coincides with the release of Nushrratt’s own movie, “Akelli.” Originally scheduled for August 18, the release of “Akelli” was pushed due to Censor Board approval delays, leading to this unexpected clash.

Speaking about “Akelli,” the film is directed by Pranay Meshram and follows the story of a woman stranded in Iraq. Notably, Tsahi Halevi from the acclaimed series “Fauda” plays a pivotal role, adding an international dimension to the film.

As for “Dream Girl 2,” Ayushmann Khurrana takes on his role as Pooja once again, but with an intriguing twist. This time, he not only adopts a female voice but also transforms into a woman, adding a new layer of comedy to the storyline. The film promises a blend of humour and entertainment as Ayushmann embraces this unique and challenging role.

With both Dream Girl 2 and “Akelli” on the horizon, fans and cinephiles have exciting cinematic experiences to look forward to.
