Saif Ali Khan Undergoes Elbow Surgery After On-set Injury
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently underwent elbow surgery after sustaining an injury during the filming of his latest movie. The 53-year-old actor was reportedly admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai due to complications arising from an existing injury that was aggravated during the shooting of an action scene.
Saif Ali Khan addressed the surgery in a post-operation statement, stating, “This injury and the surgery that followed is a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well-wishers for their love and concern.” The actor did not disclose the exact nature or severity of his injuries.
The actor had previously faced a similar injury while shooting for the film “Rangoon” directed by Vishal Bhardwaj in 2017.
Sources confirm that Saif Ali Khan was taken to the hospital on Monday, where he underwent elbow surgery. The actor is reported to be in stable condition and on the road to recovery.
On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in “Adipurush” in 2023, alongside Kriti Sanon and Prabhas. The actor has several upcoming projects, including “Devara Part 1” with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, set to be released in two parts, with the first instalment hitting theatres on April 5, 2024. Despite the challenges posed by the recent surgery, Saif Ali Khan remains committed to his craft and continues to be a prominent figure in the Indian film industry.
