Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 16th December 2023 Written Update: Abhira proves her talent

The episode begins with Abhira apologizing to Kaveri for her saree coming loose and falling down in front of everyone. However, she cannot accept the way Kaveri insulted her mother. Abhira believes that her mother taught her everything she knows. Kaveri claims that she made Abhira bow her head in front of everyone. Kiara, on the other hand, thinks that she helped Abhira. A guest informs Kaveri that the car has broken down and asks Manoj to call a mechanic. Abhira runs away from the scene. Kaveri tells Sanjay that Abhira should not return home. Meanwhile, Abhira starts repairing the car. Manisha asks Manoj if Abhira is going to commit suicide, but Manoj assures her that Abhira is just fixing the car. Kiara comments that Abhira is cool. Abhira asks the guest to try starting the car, which he successfully does. He appreciates Abhira in front of everyone and leaves. Abhira asserts to Kaveri that she was right. Her mother may not have taught her how to wear a saree, but she taught her much more than that, and she is determined to prove it to Kaveri.

Abhira then proceeds to change a light bulb, highlighting that her mother didn’t teach her how to wear a saree, but she did teach her how to change a light bulb. Abhira emphasizes that her mother taught her skills beyond household chores, such as gardening and fighting. She didn’t teach her how to style her hair or do makeup, but she did teach her how to administer first aid. Her mother taught her how to mend broken things and repair cars, and most importantly, how to stay strong. Abhira believes she is not the typical daughter-in-law material, as she is a strong girl who can carry a gas cylinder. Vidya tells Abhira to be quiet, but Abhira stands by her words. Armaan tells her to go inside, but Ruhi’s father learns that Abhira is married to Armaan and praises her as a good child who married into a good family. Chachi informs him that they only found out about Armaan’s marriage to Abhira through Ruhi, or else they would have invited them to the family gathering. Abhira and Armaan had a love marriage.

Meanwhile, Kiara tells Arav that Abhira is cool and managed to repair the car in just a few minutes. However, her brother comments that she created a scene there. Kiara defends Abhira, saying that she responded to Dadi in her own language. Kiara also mentions that Abhira’s saree fell down because of her. Her brother argues that Abhira didn’t care enough to fix the pin properly. Kiara decides to inform Dadi about everything, but her brother warns her that it will only create more problems. He suggests throwing a party to lift everyone’s spirits. Later, Abhira vents her anger on some objects, but Armaan tells her it’s not worth it. Abhira explains that his family members were scolding her, and she can’t stay silent while they question her mother and upbringing. Armaan advises her to treat it like a courtroom and, if her opposition is strong, sometimes she has to stay silent. Abhira stops Armaan from going after Ruhi and tends to her wounds. Ruhi watches them and feels hurt, but Abhira reassures Armaan that she is the only one in his heart. Rohith hugs Ruhi from behind and assures her that she is the only one in his heart. Later, Arav takes Rohith to an ice cream party. Rohith notices that Ruhi is sad, even though she was happy in Mizoram. Armaan tries to make her smile, but Abhira is the one who laughs at his song. They all admire her and comment that she looks cool when she smiles. Armaan asks Ruhi to keep smiling, and Abhira helps him when he coughs, which makes Ruhi feel jealous.
