Chand Jalne Laga 20th December 2023 Written Update: Tara in a dilemma

The latest episode of Chand Jalne Laga begins with Ananya informing Soni that she had already mentioned to her that Malik likes Tara. He always talks about her. The priest then declares that their wedding is now complete. Tara asks the priest to perform the ritual. Raunaq tells Tara that their father is not happy with her decision and they won’t support her. Soni cuts all ties with Tara. Malik tells Tara that bidai (a ritual where the bride officially leaves her family) is an important tradition for a girl. He warns her that if she sheds a tear, he will leave her there. He explains that he is just fulfilling his vows and asks her to perform the bidai by herself. Tara bids farewell to her family, as everyone has left her. Malik assures her that he won’t leave her and shows her a photo of Vanraj, warning her of his reaction when he finds out about their marriage.

Back at Malik’s house, he returns with Badsha and is surprised to find the lights turned on. He sees Farvari there and tells her that he asked her to stay away from him. Farvari explains that she arranged everything for his Grahpravesh (the bride’s entry into her new home). Tara arrives and Malik questions why she is there, as he left her in her previous house. Tara reveals that she is Farvari’s sister-in-law and it is her duty to perform the Grahpravesh. Malik tries to make her leave, but she pretends to almost fall and he catches her, allowing her to complete the ritual. Malik insists that Tara should leave, but she asserts that she is his wife and has the right to stay. Malik threatens to leave the house, but is surprised when the police arrive. The police inform him that Tara complained about their marriage and demands that she be sent back home because she doesn’t know how to cook.

Malik argues with the police, but Tara defends herself and assures them that she will learn to cook. The police warn Malik to take care of her and promise to check on her daily before leaving. Malik scolds Tara for bringing the police to their house and she explains that she had to do something for him. Farvari embraces Tara and expresses her happiness for her marriage to Malik. She reassures Tara that the police won’t harm him and advises her to handle Malik and bring back his old self. Meanwhile, Thakurian asks Shanmukhi how this is possible and why she didn’t finish this task years ago. Shanmukhi stops Thakurian from falling and reveals that she took Deva’s blood samples for a DNA test, which matched perfectly. Shanmukhi believes in proof and suggests checking if Deva has a birthmark on his hand.

Later, Malik tells Tara that she has opened his eyes and he wants to perform all the rituals of their wedding. He asks her if she is ready for their first night together, but to Tara’s shock, he is holding another girl’s hand. He closes the door on Tara’s face and congratulates her.
