Chand Jalne Laga 18th December 2023 Written Update: Raunaq attacks Malik

The latest episode of “Chand Jalne Laga” begins with Malik confronting Tara, reminding her that she may have forgotten everything, but he hasn’t. Tara, who wants to get married for the sake of others’ happiness, is told by Malik that she must marry him in order to understand his pain. He goes on to place his phone on the mandap and hands Tara her wedding dress, shocking her. Malik explains that everyone happily wears this dress, thinking about their colorful life, but he intends to take away all the happiness from her life. With no other choice, Tara reluctantly takes the wedding dress from him. Meanwhile, Ananya tells Arjun that she will accompany him, thinking that he is going to meet Tara. Sardaj and Soni express their confusion about the situation, and Amrita agrees with them. While searching for his phone, Malik notices Tara entering wearing her wedding dress.

They share a moment of eye contact before Malik takes his place on the mandap. He asks the priest to begin the wedding rituals. As Tara arrives, the priest instructs Malik to call his bride, to which Malik points out that she is the bride. Tara sits beside him, and they share another meaningful look. During the ceremony, they recall their childhood memories, and Tara even holds Malik’s hand. Arjun asks Ananya to contact Malik and inquire about Tara, but Ananya informs him that Malik is not answering her calls. The priest reminds them that it’s time for the ritual of tying the knot, and Malik declines Ananya’s call once again. The priest then instructs them to stand up for the pheras (circumambulation of the sacred fire). Malik expresses his intention to take away all the happiness from his wife and subject her to tough times and betrayal.

Malik rejects Ananya’s call once more, and he vows to make sure that Tara pays for her deeds and cannot escape from them. Meanwhile, Raunaq, who has escaped, accidentally falls in front of Arjun’s car, leaving Ananya in shock. Malik scolds his goon for not informing him about Raunaq’s escape, but the goon claims to have called him. Tara reveals that she answered the call, and Malik questions why she took the pheras with him if she knew the truth. Suddenly, Raunaq starts attacking Malik from behind, and Tara pleads with him to stop. Soni forcefully takes Tara out of the house, while Arjun tries to intervene and stop Raunaq from beating Malik. Ananya asks Soni to let her go, but Tara refers to Malik as her “Deva” (god) and runs away. Arjun manages to stop her and assures her that Malik will be punished for his actions. However, Tara insists that Malik is innocent and that Raunaq is the one who will hand him over to the police.

Meanwhile, the goons tie up Malik to a chair, and Tara desperately searches for her “Deva.” She confesses to Arjun that she was wrong and betrayed Malik, believing that he wanted revenge. Arjun reassures her that she did nothing wrong, as she was just a child at the time, while Malik, an adult, was trying to blackmail her into marriage. He even offers to marry her right then and there, but Tara refuses. Soni intervenes, stating that Malik took advantage of Tara’s situation and betrayed everyone by pretending to be someone else. She insists that Tara should marry Arjun and locks her inside a room.

The episode ends with a preview of Tara saving Malik.
